Photo Of Experienced Trial Lawyer

Andrew Weitz is an accomplished litigator who brings years of experience, knowledge and expertise to the practice. Before his tenure at Weitz & Associates, he was a founding partner of Weitz, Kleinick & Weitz, LLP where his credentials afforded him the necessary knowledge to lead the firm in Premises Liability, Product Liability, and Municipal Liability. He has tried all types of cases from Medical Malpractice to Labor Law.

Mr. Weitz holds a seat on the New York State Trial Lawyers Association's (NYSTLA) Board of Directors. Since March, 2001, he has also filled the role of editor-in-chief of the distinguished quarterly, the Bill of Particulars, which contains up-to-date information in the practice of tort law, including digests of the latest cases, decisions, commentaries, insightful articles and informed opinions of interest to the Trial Bar.

Andrew Weitz's experience as a trial lawyer and his extensive education are reflected in the many articles he has authored regarding contemporary legal practice. His writing has appeared in publications such as the New York Law Journal, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Litigation, and Trial Lawyers Quarterly.

Mr. Weitz is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Historic Village of Roslyn, and has offered his time and expertise -- pro bono -- to serve as counsel for The New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury and Parents for Megan's Law.

Mr. Weitz earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where he served as the Articles Editor for the Law Review. Additionally he bears the distinction of holding a PhD from New York University which he completed with a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average.

Prior to co-founding Weitz, Kleinick & Weitz, LLP, he was with The Cochran Firm, Schneider, Kleinick & Weitz.
